In an earlier post, I said that as Christians we should share the Gospel. I gave an acrostic of the Word Gospel and Scriptures to share the Gospel.
Another very effective method of sharing the Gospel is called the Romans Road or the Romans Roadmap. Here are the Scriptures of the Romans Road.
Romans 3:10 and Romans 3:23 tells us something that we all have in Common. We are ALL Sinners:
Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
The first half of Romans 6:23 reveals the Consequences of our sin:
Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death…”
The last half of Romans 6:23 and Romans 5:8 tells us of the Compassion that Christ had for us and how he died for us:
Romans 6:23b “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 10:9-10 and Romans 10:13 encourages us to Confess our sins and to Call upon the Lord to save us. This is putting your faith and trust in the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross
Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 5:1 and Romans 8:1-2 Confirms our Faith and Declares that by putting our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ we are no longer under the Condemnation of Sin:
Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”
Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
To summarize:
I encourage you to mark these Scriptures in a New Testament that you carry with you and memorize their location and the text so that you may effectively share the Gospel with sinners.
